Cabinet Painting Services

Cabinet Painting

We’ve been cabinet painting for over 20 years. We enjoy and take pride in the work we do. You’ll notice from the start that Project Paint stands out above the rest because we care about our customers. We know that with a project like this, it isn’t easy to have painters in your home disrupting your normal flow. We take great pains to make the least amount of impact as possible while still paying close attention to every detail in the painting process. We’ve painted over 600 kitchens, and countless laundry rooms and vanities, so you can rest assured that we know what we’re doing and what we need to create a great result. We take up as little space as possible and keep our work place clean, communicating with you along the way so there are no surprises.

Our Painting Process Explained

Door Prep for kitchen cabinet painting

Day 1: Door Pickup

We’ll arrive at or around 7:30 a.m. to collect all cabinet doors. You do not need to do anything except open your front door and let us in. We’ll do the rest; remove doors, remove hardware (knobs and hinges) and bring the doors back to our shop to prep and paint. This process takes approximately 90 minutes. It’s a great time to get your last-minute questions answered. We will ask for your deposit as well as your signature on our painting contract.

Day 2: Preparation for Painting

We arrive at or around 7:30 a.m. to prep your space for painting. All cabinets and surfaces to be painted will be washed and sanded. All openings to cabinets and appliances and floor will be covered with both paper and plastic. We install a plastic “bubble” around the area to be painted to protect your home from sanding dust and any micro-molecules of paint. At this time, your kitchen is not available for use.

Day 3: Painting Day

We arrive at or around 7:30 a.m. to begin the painting process. We will apply two coats of cabinet-grade primer followed by two coats of cabinet-grade paint. This process will require a full work day to be completed (typically) by 5:30 p.m. unless  unexpected circumstances occur. You should be able to move back into your kitchen that evening. Use special care when moving your items back into the cabinets. Though the paint is now dried to a hard finish- it’s best to be careful until it is fully durable (approx 1 week to cure).

How to Get Started on Your Estimate

Decide which painting service you need. Interior Painting? Cabinet Painting? Give us a call (864) 571-4147 or fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We’ll have a conversation about your project and your desired results.

Once we get an idea of what you’d like completed, we can set a time to come out and take a look at your project and create a quote for you. We can also create a quote efficiently through email. Simply send us pictures of what you’d like completed, and our experts will create a fair quote for your project.

To get an estimate via email we will need the following: 1. please send 2-3 overall pictures of your kitchen, bath, or laundry that you would like painted. 2. Send number of cabinet doors. 3. Send color you’d like to have your cabinets painted (specify 1 or more colors). 4. When would you like your cabinets painted?

Once you receive the quote and you approve of the pricing and process, you’ll send the signed contract on to our office.

We will then set a time that works best for you to complete your project. Depending on what painting service you require and the size of the job, we will let you know just how long you can expect the project to take.
